This image is not only a beautiful example of the artistry of creation, it’s also a breathtaking reminder that light can shine through the dark and stormy places of our lives. When I took this picture I was standing in a busy Walmart parking lot, the wind was blowing in 30-50 mph gusts, the rain had just stopped, there was traffic noise and there were people everywhere. And yet, when I looked up, all the chaos around me melted away. This picture doesn’t really do the beauty of it justice, just like words can never really describe God. Even into the storm of chaos around me, even into sadness, grief, and confusion, He breathes light and gives me joy and hope and peace. All I have to do is look up.
